The Euer Valley Horsecamp,
nestled at the base of the California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range and
bordering on the Tahoe National Forest, is the setting for the Trail Riding and
Horsecamping Event sponsored by The Trail
Rider.
“These mountains provide
some of the most beautiful trails, views and camping in the whole California
Sierra Nevada mountain range,” said The Trail
Rider Consulting Editor and event
organizer Bonnie Davis. “Plus, the area offers easy access for any size trailer
or experience of horse owners.”
Euer Valley Horsecamp will
provide campsites and corrals, plus nightly campfires and daily demonstrations.
From the valley floor elevation of 6,000 feet, trails lead up into the
wilderness area to more than 8,000 feet elevation with magnificent views of the
surrounding mountains.
Valley floor trails wander
around meadows, through stands of whispering aspen, willows, pines, and firs
where deer wander, birds nest, squirrels chatter, and Euer Valley Ranch cattle
graze valley edges.
Trails are available for
all riders, regardless of experience. Daily demonstrations will include
Dutch-oven cooking, packing, and shoeing the trail horse. Nightly campfires
offer singing and storytelling. Catered suppers will be provided the last four
nights.
