Ariat Signs Rodeo Legend Bob Tallman
Ariat International, Inc., the innovation leader in performance equestrian footwear, apparel and small leather goods, is pleased to announce their sponsorship of Bob Tallman. Known as the voice of Professional Rodeo, Tallman is both a Professional Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee and a seven-time recipient of the distinguished PRCA's Announcer of the Year.

"It is an incredible honor for Ariat to partner with Bob Tallman, a truly iconic figure in the history of Professional Rodeo," said Beth Cross, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ariat International. "Bob has transformed the face of the sport through his unique style creating a personal connection with fans and athletes alike. His respect for Professional Rodeo and his passion for the western lifestyle make him the quintessential ambassador for the sport and for the Ariat brand."

Tallman's career spans over 30 years during which he has announced the NFR a total of 18 times for a record-setting 10 consecutive years. Tallman's impact on the sport is legendary. He was the first announcer to bring the concept of "play by play" to rodeo and rather than just reporting on the action, Tallman found a way to humanize the athlete. It is not uncommon to learn personal antidotes about the athletes when you listen to Tallman and he is often heard offering words of encouragement such as "Hang on cowboy!"

Tallman likens his commentary to painting a picture for the fans. "Every picture I paint, I want it to be the best picture that I can leave in someone's mind through their ear and hopefully they will carry it in their soul."

Tallman works close to 200 rodeos a year and is heard by 60 million fans across the United States and Canada. When not traveling, he is busy raising cattle on his North Texas ranch with his wife, hosting television shows, promoting Bob Tallman's Ranch Fixin's Texas Style Seasonings and working with his foundation called Bob Tallman Charities.
