Wrangler® Stretches Comfort to a New Level
New Action Fit with Flex Denim Modernizes Performance in Jeans
GREENSBORO, NC (November 15, 2007) – Combining two of the biggest names in western style to once again bring the best in denim apparel, the George Strait Cowboy Cut Collection by Wrangler® announces the launch of a new jean for every guy who knows what true comfort means—and demands it. Hitting shelves now for Holiday 2007, the new George Strait Action Fit with Flex Denim provides superior comfort in motion with the ultimate blend of function and fit.

Pairing classic Wrangler construction in a heavy-weight 13-ounce denim with very light stretch for superior ease of movement, the jean sports a nylon waistband that allows enhanced nine percent stretch, significantly more than regular denim waistbands—but without the “old man jeans” look. A beautiful stone washed finish with subtle hand sanding adds a youthful, slightly worn touch.

“We are really excited to introduce this jean to our consumers,” says Robin Rich, senior marketing manager, Wrangler Western Wear. “We’ve incorporated such a subtle stretch in the waistband that only the man wearing it will tell a difference, and we think he’ll love it.”

A decades-long relationship between the Strait and the leader in western apparel has led to the creation of jean and shirt collections topping the clothing charts. The newest addition to the line-up demonstrates that the brand and the singer-turned-designer accept nothing but the best. The Action Fit with Flex Denim jeans have already won rave reviews, with over 200 men test-driving the jeans and 96 percent stating it was more comfortable in the waist than their current favorite jean.

One respondent said the jeans were as “as comfy as an old pair of sweat pants.” And with 72 percent of the men stating they would purchase a pair, the George Strait Action Fit with Flex Denim jeans could very well be, according to one tester, “the jeans of tomorrow.”

For 60 years the Wrangler brand has catered to and evolved with its consumers with an unwavering mission: exceed consumer expectations and stay the worldwide leader in authentic Western Wear.  Year after year, the leader in western apparel and the country music superstar continue to deliver an enduring collection that fans love.

Wrangler Western Wear is available at over 2,500 western specialty stores nationwide.  For more information regarding the George Strait Cowboy Cut Collection by Wrangler or the Wrangler family of products, or to locate the Wrangler® Western Wear retailer nearest you, visit www.wrangler.com or call 1.888.784.8571.
