Platinum Performance Introduces CJ the Equine Wellness, Performance and Complete Joint Formula
Many of the factors that contribute to the development and progression of joint conditions can be influenced by nutrition.  Platinum Performance Inc. announces the release of Platinum PerformanceTM CJ, The Comprehensive Wellness, Performance and Complete Joint FormulaTM. Platinum Performance CJ supports healthy joint function in horses with existing joint health issues and in athletic horse that is prone to joint injury. The formula combines the company’s two highly effective formulas, Platinum PerformanceTM Equine and Ortho-ChonTM II HA, with Avocado/Soy Unsaponifiables (ASU).

Platinum Performance CJ addresses common nutritional deficiencies in the equine diet by providing specific levels of omega-3 essential fatty acids, antioxidants, trace minerals, vitamins and branched chain amino acids.  In addition, Platinum Performance CJ incorporates other joint protecting nutrients including glucosamine, hyaluronic acid, MSM, cety-myristoleate, and ASU.

Designed to work at the cellular level, Platinum Performance CJTM targets equine joint health while promoting the health and performance of the entire horse. Platinum Performance CJ simplifies supplementation by eliminating a multitude of individual supplements.   In doing so, Platinum Performance CJ provides nutrients that support healthy joint function by targeting five primary contributors to the development of joint health issues, namely:

1.Chronic inflammation
2. Free radical damage
3.Degradative enzyme activity
4.Traumatic injury/overuse
5.Natural aging / degeneration

Platinum Performance CJTM is the first Platinum Performance formula to incorporate ASU, a natural anti-inflammatory extract derived from avocado and soybean oil that as been shown to stimulate the rebuilding of cartilage. ASU is considered one of the most promising nutritional breakthroughs in joint supplementation.

Platinum Performance CJTM is available in sizes from 10 lbs to 135 lbs. Horse owners and trainers are encouraged to consult with their veterinarian to determine if Platinum Performance CJ is right for their horse.

In 1972, Doug Herthel DVM founded the Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in Santa Ynez, California, where he pioneered “The Biological Approach to Healing”.  This approach includes the use of therapeutic nutrition, hyperbaric oxygen and stem cell therapy to improve the quality and the speed of healing after injury. In 1996 Dr. Doug Herthel developed Platinum Performance Equine, the nutritional component of the “Biological Approach to Healing”.  When demand for Platinum Performance grew outside his practice, he founded Platinum Performance, Inc. to provide fellow veterinarians with a source for superior quality nutritional formulas based on research and clinical experience.

Platinum Performance Inc. continues to develop and manufacture an extensive selection of highly effective preventive, therapeutic and sports nutrition formulas for horses, humans and companion animals. For more information and/or a free information packet on equine joint support, please contact Platinum Performance at 1.800.553.2400 or visit the Platinum Performances website at www.platinumperformance.com.
