Spa Day with Horses

Horse lovers of all kinds know the health and well-being benefits of being around horses. And now a mainstream spa developer is bringing those benefits to the non-horse community.

WTS International, a spa consulting and management firm, has partnered with Equestrian Services, LLC, a firm that designs and builds horse facilities, to offer Equi-Spa Lifestyle Solutions, according to a recent press release. The offering will bring horses and their health and wellness benefits to individuals, families and companies looking for team building, emotional development, fitness, yoga, Tai Chi and life enrichment as part of an overall spa environment.

Equestrian Services will provide the horses, facility development, programming and staff/management for the equestrian programs, while WTS will provide the consulting and management of the spa and other recreational amenities.

“Equestrian Services is thrilled to partner with WTS,” said Jennifer Donovan, co-founder of Equestrian Services, LLC, in the release. “The emotional connection between humans and animals has always been supported by anecdotal stories. Now, research studies are showing instances of the human-animal bond that are improving people’s attitudes, assisting in mental-health therapies and are linked to better physical health. Being social animals themselves, horses can play a particularly interesting role in helping us not only to relax, but also to teach us useful communication tools that can be applied to other areas of our lives. WTS shares our vision to bring this rare opportunity to the spa experience.”
