SmartPak, a Plymouth, MA based company serving horse and dog
owners, is a company that thinks pink. With a high percentage of female
customers, many of whom have shared their stories of fighting breast cancer,
SmartPak recognizes that this disease is one of women’s biggest health
concerns. Since the 2005 launch of their exclusive SmartPink™ product line
to benefit breast cancer research, SmartPak has donated over $50,000 to breast
cancer research.
The SmartPink line started out small, but in
response to its overwhelming popularity, SmartPak has added many new products
including dog coats, tote bags, and winter blankets. Additional new
products are constantly being developed. "The SmartPink product line is a great way
for people to contribute to the research we hope will uncover a
cure for breast cancer in our lifetime," said Rebecca Minard, founder and senior
vice president of SmartPak. “We continue to be touched by the
stories of our customers bravely fighting this disease.”
To show its support locally, a team
of SmartPak employees will be lacing up their sneakers May 17th and 18th, to join the annual
Avon Walk for breast cancer. Over the past 3 months, the team has been raising
funds and training for the 39.3 mile walk, which begins at UMASS Boston.
To participate, each walker must raise a minimum of $1,800 in donations.
“Since several of our employees’ families have been affected by breast cancer,
this event is close to home” said Customer Care Manager and walk participant
Nicole Ray. “The walk is an
incredible celebration of life, where you get to meet wonderful people sharing a
common bond. We are so excited to participate for the
2ndyear!”
Best known for its daily dose, recyclable SmartPak supplement packaging, SmartPak
