When
Manhattan’s
last and oldest boarding facility closed last year, New Yorkers lamented the
loss of horses in the Big Apple. But now horses are back, only behind the walls
of The American Museum of Natural History. The Museum will hold a major
exhibition exploring the history of the horse staring May 17 and running until
January 4 next year.
The
exhibit will look at the horse through history from its early development to its
domestication. The exhibition will include fossils and cultural objects, ranging
from a 19th-century fire engine to paleolithic art.
