Kentucky Bill Fights Soring
A proposed state bill would tighten Kentucky’s Tennessee Walking Horse soring regulations at horse shows and sales. According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the law would require consistent inspection by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture at events, rather than lenient groups hired by show organizers or the USDA. Competitors who fail soring inspections would be subject to fines starting between $1,000 and $2,500. For more information, visit www.kentucky.com.
