The award-winning
Wide World of Horses has
returned for a second season in 2008. According to Cheryl Magoteaux, of True
South, Inc., the weekly television program will continue on RFD-TV throughout
2008.
Magoteaux, who owns the program along
with Jack Covington, noted that the National Reining Horse Association is once
again be featured every other week in the NRHA Inside Reining
programs.
In other programming, the celebrated
Southwest Reining Horse Association 2007 Futurity was the focus of one January
program, part of the 2008 Oklahoma Series sponsored by the Oklahoma Tourism and
Agricultural Departments. Next on the Oklahoma Series lineup is the Lazy E
Arena's Timed Event Championships from Guthrie, Oklahoma, set to air April 21.
Those programs are produced in conjunction with Chris and Jenifer (Reynolds)
Cook's Sandbur Video.
As always, said Magoteaux, the program
will feature a wide slice of the performance horse world. The Envision! video
crew was busy at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship show,
filming shows to air through March.
One is an overview of AQHA Amateur Week
including jumping, roping and a feature on the All Around Amateur. Other shows
focus on the Open competition and the AQHA Professional Horsemen's Team
competition. Also on that show, Les Vogt returns to Wide World with a segment of
his Equine Insights.
Also already on board for
2008 is a program, slated to air April 7, on the National Reined Cow Horse
Association's highly popular World's Greatest Horseman
competition.
Wide World of Horses airs on RFD-TV at 11:30 am and 9:30 pm CST
every Monday and on Sunday morning at 6:30 am. The 30-minute program features a
broad spectrum of the equine world's most exciting events and individuals and
