Weaver Leather Sells Majority Interest to Capital Partners
On October 27, 2008, Weaver Leather, Inc. sold a majority interest in the company to Capital Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut (www.capitalpartners.com).

Paul Weaver, CEO and second generation owner of Weaver Leather, Inc. for the past 27 years, has retained an ownership interest in the new company, Weaver Leather LLC, and will continue his active involvement in the organization both as chairman of the board and shareholder. This decision was made after careful consideration and will ensure the long-term stability of the company for its employees, customers and suppliers. Selling majority interest to Capital Partners will provide expanded opportunities for Weaver Leather to pursue new product lines and opportunities in the marketplace.

Weaver Leather LLC will continue operations at its Mt. Hope, Ohio headquarters with the same core values, culture, and passion for exceeding customer expectations through quality products and excellent service that have been cornerstones since the company’s founding in 1973.
