Strong Helmet Sales Confirmed by Tackn Togs Report
Retailers and consumers continue to embrace English helmets, according to Tack’n Tog’s annual ‘State of the Market Report’, released this month. Retailers plan on increasing helmet inventory more than any other English product in 2008, and reported helmets among their top five best-selling English products.

Tack'n Togs, the leading international publication for equine retailers, conducts the annual survey and publishes the results in its ‘State of the Market Report.’ The comprehensive report reveals industry trends and insight into best practices and day-to-day operations.

In this year’s survey, retailers were asked which English products they will buy more of in 2008. Helmets were the top response, with 34.8% of respondents planning on purchasing more, and 50% indicating committing to buy the same. Only 3.6% plan on buying less helmets in 2008.

Helmets also were named among the best-selling English products, placing fifth and sixth, respectively, in rankings based on annual gross sales and products sold.

"We are very pleased to see helmets continuing to sell through so well at retail," said Troxel CEO Shay Joaquin. “The results of this report match what we hear directly from our dealers.”

Past Tack’n Togs ‘State of the Marketing Report’s ranked Troxel as the top-selling brand of English headwear, and the number-one English accessory in the helmet category. Troxel is a perennial “Top 10 Supplier” in this same survey.
