Circle Y Saddles, America’s Leading Saddle Brand, is proud to add champion
Cowboy Mounted Shooter, Kenda Lenseigne, to its Team Of Champions. As the 2007
& 2008 Reserve World Champion Cowgirl for the Cowboy Mounted Shooting
Association (CMSA), Kenda brings to Circle Y expertise and a competitive edge in
this fast growing sport.
Kenda, who splits time
between her ranches in Washington and Arizona, has lead the women’s and open
events in the relatively new sport of mounted shooting. A background in training cutting horses
led to further success training shooting horses, though learning gun handling
required more practice. In mounted shooting competitors must negotiate an arena course
while riding at full speed using two single action
cowboy guns loaded with black powder blanks to take out balloon targets set in
various patterns.
As holder of four CMSA
World Records, Kenda has definitely found her game. She is also four-time CMSA
World Point Champion. She currently trains horses and riders for mounted
shooting while teaching clinics and competing in over 30 events across the
country.
Circle Y benefits from
Kenda’s insight when designing her special shooting saddle. “Circle Y has listened to the needs of
our shooting competitors and has designed a saddle with these features,” said
Kenda. “It will definitely help many riders improve their skills.” The Circle Y
Flex2® tree conforms to the horse and allows for freedom of movement. The saddle’s light weight and shock
absorbing skirt further help horses perform at their best. A roughout seat
jockey and fender, and a suede seat, help hold the rider’s position. The
adjustable stirrup leather position strap determines the amount of leg swing the
rider prefers. The swell of the saddle is low and the forward tilted horn allows
for maximum clearance for the two guns and holsters which20riders carry. A
complete line of Circle Y Shooting Saddles will soon be added to the Circle Y
line of quality saddles and tack.
“Circle Y is honored to
have Kenda on our Team of Champions,” said Mark Jemelka, General Manager of
Circle Y Saddles. “She represents the best in this unique sport of mounted
shooting and Circle Y is lucky to have her.”
