What to do about a Horse in the Garage
A horse named Fancy has the residents of Dedham, Mass. in a twist.

The horse, according to local news reports, is living in a garage in the decidedly non-equestrian oriented community.

Horse board in the Boston area can costs anywhere from $500-$1000 a month. Fancy’s owners had to move the horse from its living situation and couldn’t find an affordable alternative.

As it turns out, horsekeeping in Dedham is not specifically prohibited. The family, however, did need to obtain a permit.

Neighbors, however, are unhappy about the manure, and plan to petition to have the horse removed from this urban neighborhood.

The MSPCA will shelter the horse until the results of a town meeting are finalized.
