The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’
Association (TWHBEA) announced today that effective immediately Stan Butt has
been named as Executive Director.
Butt has been serving as Interim Executive Director since
December of 2007. “Stan has done an
outstanding job of helping restore financial accountability and fiscal
responsibility to our Association,” said Mike Inman, TWHBEA Admin/Fiscal/Audit
VP and Personnel Committee chairman. “After completing our commitment to the
membership by interviewing additional candidates for the position, the Executive
Committee felt confident that they had made a wise choice, continued Inman.
David Pruett and I were excited to make the call to Stan on Saturday
evening.”
“Stan was selected, not only for his overall knowledge of the
industry, but for his acceptance by every discipline within our industry,” said
President David Pruett. “His untiring efforts to represent TWHBEA at shows,
sales, and breed functions everywhere is a breath of fresh air. His willingness
and untiring efforts are to be commended. As he continues as Executive Director,
Stan will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Association,
restoring the integrity of our registry, expanding membership in the US and
International markets, improving member communications and improving our
financial position. Having worked closely with Stan over the last four months, I
know that he is dedicated and eager to accept the challenge,” continued
Pruett.
“I am humbled and honored to accept the challenge presented
by this Executive Committee. They bring a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to
TWHBEA. One could not ask for a more dedicated group of individuals with which
to work. I look forward to the days ahead, said Butt.
