Gardiner Farm, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, will be hosting a trail ride this weekend, July 18-19, as the second part of their annual Saddle Up for St. Jude fundraiser. Last weekend’s team roping event raised $6,000. Starting Saturday, participants will have the chance to contribute to the event’s fund-raising efforts by taking part in a long or short trail ride. Riders are encouraged to raise $35, and all proceeds benefit St. Jude Hospital. The 2007 event raised $119,500 in total, more than any other Saddle Up event in the country.
