Next summer, The Best of America by Horseback TV show is hitting the trails to recreate their 1995 coast-to-coast ride—only this time, they’re going border-to-border. Starting in May 2009, host Tom Seay and the Best of America crew will take the trip from Mexico all the way to Canada on horseback. The ride will take approximately 17 weeks and total 1,800 miles. The border-to-border ride promises adventures on the trail, but also activities with the communities along the way and chances to test products from sponsors.

There will be a limited number of core riders who will participate in the entire trip. The trip is designed so that riders can choose their own starting and destination spots, but everyone must ride for at least a week.  In order to take part, you must be a Best of America by Horseback Trail Club member. For details on how to become a member and how to sign up for the Mexico to Canada journey, go to www.bestofamericabyhorseback.com, or call (540) 829-9555 to reserve your spot. (See the Catch this Ride section in the November/December '08 issue of The Trail Rider for a closer look at the border-to-border ride and the lively Best of America crew.)
