Deadline Approaching for the Certified Horsemanship Association International Conference
October 30  November 2, 2008 at The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington
Plan on joining us for the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) International Annual Conference on October 30 – November 2, 2008 at the KentuckyHorse Park in Lexington. September 30, 2008 is the deadline to book your room at the Holiday Inn Lexington North host hotel.

The conference is open to the public and includes mounted workshops for participants, lessons from master level certified instructors, top veterinarians, horse trainers and much more. During the event there will also be tours to the Kentucky Horse Park museum, Keeneland fall horse sale, Three Chimney Farms and a First Aid/CPR course throughEquine U.

This event is the only equine conference in the country where the host site provides horses for riding and ground work experiences with the experts, such as nationally known clinician Julie Goodnight, trainer Jon Ensign, Karen Winn with the USPC, relationship training with Lew Sterrett and a conformation clinic. Deb Balliet with Equestrian Land Conservation Resource, Linda Schultz with USDF, equine dentistry with Dr. Josh Ballard, how to be a profitable horsemen with Doug Emerson, and many more sessions will be a part of this event. Other topics include : driving, vaulting, trail encampment, collection and extension, lateral movements, finding and keeping good staff, dealing with the loss of a horse, marketing and funding your equine program, ground work to improve your riding, therapeutic riding lessons, horsemanship patterns, techniques for the tense rider and much more!

CHA is offering member pricing for this event for non-members that come as part of a group of five or more. The purpose of CHA is to promote excellence in safety and education for the benefit of the horse industry. CHA certifies instructors and trail guides, accredits equestrian facilities and provides support and educational resources.
