Canadian Government Pledges Support of Equine Spectacle
A $4 million(C$) loan will help a Canadian equestrian performance company develop a new show and build a new facility.

Cavalia, which has enchanted 2.5 million horse lovers since its inception in 2003, plans to use the funding for a new show, to launch in 2011. A second part of the funding will be to develop Cavalia’s creation and training center located in Sutton, Quebec. Normand Latourelle, president and artistic director of Cavalia, notes, “Ever since the beginning of this adventure, when we first created Cavalia, Canada Economic Development have been supportive of us.  And now, six years later, we have started working on a new show and are pleased that funds are being allocated to artistic development, This will enable us to further develop our facilities in Sutton which will become a primary creative environment and training centre for our two- and four-legged artists.”

The funding has been awarded through the Canada Economic Development Business and Regional Growth program.
