Much of the world focused on Barbaro during his accident and subsequent care, and in doing so, equine health and research was never more in the forefront of the American public’s eye. Now, Pfizer and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association have teamed up to fund a new study of lamintis, which is what ultimately caused the great horse’s death.
