Speaking
of green, equestrian apparel manufacturers are turning to environmentally
friendly fabrics in droves. Kerrits, Inc., owned by Kerri Kent, recently
launched its new line of riding clothes that incorporates fabric such as
renewable bamboo, in high performance riding design.
Says Kent, “I am
committed to sustainability and conserving land for future generations of horses
and riders. The choices we make today have lasting implications for
tomorrow.” Kerrits isn’t the only
company to go green: Boot and apparel maker Ariat also plans to launch a green
line later this year.
