SisterCreek Ranch, located in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country is a beautiful 700 acre equine paradise. The ranch caters to horse lovers who would like to take their favorite steed with them for a special trail riding getaway. The folks at SCR pride themselves on attention to detail and their willingness to make guests feel at home, while allowing them privacy and free reign of the entire ranch. Guests are welcome to make use of the full size arena, lighted covered round pen and hot/cold water wash racks. These amenities are first class and add a great deal to the over all enjoyment of your stay. There are over 18 miles of trails for every level of rider and maps are provided. SisterCreek Ranch also offers Boarding services for those who want their equine friend to have the best of everything. Boarders also have free run of the ranch. As an added plus, SCR breeds and sells Tennessee Walking Horses and Gaited Spotted Saddle Horses. Visit the website to preview those that are for sale at this time. Guests can schedule a lesson to experience their first gaited ride. For those who don't ride, there is catch and release fishing, hiking or tubing in the clean, clear creek.

SisterCreek Ranch has a little western town called Kickback Flats nestled along Jung Creek and it includes an authentic Texas saloon called Sniffy's. Sniffy's is the gathering spot for the ranch and has it all: karaoke, a pool table, darts, shuffleboard and cold beverages. It's also where home-cooked meals are served to our guests. In Kickback Flats you'll find the guesthouses, deemed elegantly rustic by those who have enjoyed them. The front porches overlook the horse paddocks where the babies run and the porch swings are a perfect place for your morning coffee or to watch an evening sunset. The screened in back porches overlook the creek and provide a cool spot for late afternoon gatherings. There is a spa creekside for our guesthouse visitors where they can unwind after a day on the trails. For those who prefer to rough it just a bit, SCR has 4 RV sites located beside West Sister Creek with rocked in fire pits (wood provided), picnic tables and covered pens for guest's horses. There is always a cool breeze and it's a short walk to the all natural rock waterfall and swimming hole where you can cool off on hot days. All guests are encouraged to see as much of the ranch as they can. SCR is excellent for endurance training or just meandering along the hill tops. There is abundant wildlife and a great spot on top of the mountain for lunch with spectacular views from every vista. SCR is surrounded by lots of things to see and do. Luckenbach, Texas, made famous in the song by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, is only nine miles away. Local pickers play daily. There are many charming wineries in the area for those who enjoy wine tastings and Fredericksburg, Texas, a shopper's Mecca, is only twenty minutes away. San Antonio, home of the San Antonio River Walk and, of course, the Alamo, is an easy one hour drive. SisterCreek Ranch is a wonderful destination for you and your friends, four legged or two. Visit the website for more information, rates and to see pictures of the guesthouses and all the facilities. Go for a day or stay for a week. Either way, folks return again and again. It's an experience you'll remember.
