TS Lady Shahs Samara, IAHA 2A349956, was foaled 5/29/2002, and stands 15 hands. Samara is a lovely, straight, elegant 6-year-old 3/4 Arabian 1/4 Saddlebred pinto mare who is double registered with the IAHA (Half-Arabian Horse Registry) as well as the PtHA (Pinto Horse Assoc. of America) in the "pleasure" category. Samara was bred, raised and trained back East and was just brought out to the Northwest last year. She was shown as a youngster and did well in conformation classes and has since had professional training under saddle. Her current owner has enjoyed Samara in the arena as well as on the trails and she states that Samara has exceptionally smooth, soft gaits, as well as the fastest walk of any horse she has ever ridden. She can be ridden in a small, slender bosal or snaffle and is light, responsive and very willing as she tries to do everything you ask of her. She knows her leads, backs, and can extend or slow her gaits as she collects so with a short tune-up, could probably go right into the show ring. Samara is also excellent on the trails - she is not spooky and is very forward and eager to see what is around the next corner. Her owner believes that with her confident manner and wonderful gaits that she could be a great endurance mount for someone too. On the ground Samara is respectful, mannerly, and good to clip, show, cross-tie, and load and haul.
