Ultrasonic Horse Pest Repellent
image fpo
This tiny ultrasonic horse pest repellent, measuring less than one inch, emits bug-repelling sounds to keep pests four to five feet away. Wear the colorful charm around your wrist, or braid it into your horse’s mane. The high-pitched pulsing sound won’t distract you or your horse, but is audible and repulsive to mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and possibly flies. The ultrasonic horse pest repellent was tested by a private lab and the Environmental Protection Agency to ensure effectiveness; however, its fly-repelling qualities haven’t been confirmed.

You’ll know the yo-yo shaped charm is working if you can hear soft clicking, like that of a watch. Designers added the sound to let you know when the battery stops. Batteries aren’t replaceable, but should last for three months after activation.

To braid into your horse’s mane, divide a small section of hair, braid down about two inches, thread the charm’s braid ring over the braid, loop the braid through again to make a single knot, and secure with a rubber band. Five colors available.

Cost: $14.99.
